ChatGPT Shopping does not read a tag on the product page. You push a catalog file to OpenAI over SFTP. For discovery, every row needs item_id, title, description, url, brand, seller_name, image_url, availability, and price.

Which schema.org markup puts a product's price and availability into an assistant answer?
Put a Product node on the product page, with an Offer that carries price, priceCurrency, and availability. Render that JSON-LD in the server HTML, and keep those three values identical to the product feed. A price that exists only after JavaScript runs is not in the HTML a crawler saved.

Which AI crawlers should an online store allow, and how do you set that?
Allow the crawlers that fetch pages for answers, and decide separately on the ones that collect text for training. For a store that wants to be cited, that means allowing OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, and Bingbot. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, and Applebot-Extended are the training controls, and they are not the same switch.
